Nourish Your Mind
Detox from social media
Social media is a big part of our lives especially if your business/job requires you to use it every day. Taking a break from social media is so important for your mental health. From unfollowing accounts that don’t bring you joy to setting limits on your phone, here are some ways how to have a social media detox.
Practice mindfulness
Mindfulness is such an important practice to help you to be fully present and bring more awareness, joy, and calmness to your life. If you struggle with having mindfulness in your daily routine, here are 6 ways you can incorporate mindfulness into your day.
Diffuse essential oils (aromatherapy)
Essential oils have been gaining popularity lately as it has been claimed to help a person’s mental, physical, and emotional well-being in many different ways. You can easily add essential oils to your diffuser or there are many different ways to use essential oils in your self-care routine.
Silence your mind (quiet your mind)
With so many thoughts running through your head every day, taking time to quiet your mind is so important for stress relief. Take time for self-reflection
Self-reflection is an important habit to practice. We are constantly changing, growing, and transforming into better versions of ourselves. By practicing self-reflection, you will gain more clarity and peace in your life.

Reading a book is such a great way to nourish your mind. Set a goal for yourself to read a certain number of books a year or even a certain amount of pages a day. It is such an amazing habit to add to your morning routine. Check out this reading list for some inspiration.
Learn something new
Consider challenging yourself and learning something new. You can learn a new language, a new skill, or even take an online course.
Spend time in nature

Podcast topics these days range from personal development, business, health & wellness, and so much more. While getting ready, driving, or even doing laundry listen to a podcast to feed your mind with information.
Unsubscribe from emails
Take time to declutter your inbox from junk emails, newsletters that no longer resonate with you, or emails that you no longer open. This will help ease your mind and not feel too overwhelmed with constant emails always popping up in your inbox.

Listen to an uplifting Ted Talk to help inspire you.
Practice visualization
Visualization is the practice of imagining what you want to achieve in the future. You can try out visualization practices like making a vision board or a guided visualization meditation.
Make a music playlist
Put together a playlist of all the songs that lift you up and bring you joy. Dance it out!

Learn about Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the knowledge (science) of life and is one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems that originated in India more than 3,000 years ago. Your mind and body are connected and when you understand what type of mind-body type (dosha) you have and take care of it you will feel more balanced. Eat more plant-based foods
Eat more whole foods and limit your intake of processed foods. This is a much healthier option to nourish your body and reduce inflammation.
Take time to stretch every day
Stretching is so important to help connect with your body and relieve tension from your muscle and joints. First thing in the morning you should take at least five minutes to stretch. And throughout the day set a timer to help you remember to stretch a few times throughout the day.
Take a walk outside in nature
Not only is spending time in nature great to help clear your mind but walking outside is such a great way to loosen up your body and get some movement in.
Practice tongue scraping
This may sound new or weird to you but tongue scraping is such an amazing habit to add to your morning routine. The process is simple you use a tongue scraper to remove any built-up bacteria and food debris from your tongue. It’s so refreshing and the benefits of tongue scraping include: improving bad breath, helping with digestion, and being good for your teeth and gum health.
Try meal planning
Meal planning and prepping ahead of time can help you nourish your body better because you will have healthier meals already prepared instead of reaching for fast food because you are tired or don’t want to cook. Spend time doing some skincare
Spend time focusing on your skin. Dry brush your skin before a shower, lotion, or oil your body, try a new face mask, or even try washing your face more. Adopt any skincare routines that work for your skin type.
Drink more water
Hydration is key! Cut down on sodas, sugar drinks, and focus on drinking more water. I recommend using this motivational water bottle as a reminder to drink more water and to help you keep track of how much water you are consuming.
Get some rest
When I say rest I don’t mean sleep I mean take time for yourself and relax. Slow down, take a break, and just unwind.
Get some sleep
Get some good quality sleep by creating a better sleep routine and resetting your sleep schedule to align with the circadian rhythm.
Drink herbal tea or matcha
Make a hot cup of herbal tea or matcha and sip on it slowly. Be mindful of the taste and its coziness. Currently trying out this ceremonial grade matcha and loving it!
Soak Your Feet in Epsom Salts
If you don’t feel like going all in and soaking in the tub, then a great alternative is while watching TV or reading a book soak your feet. You can use warm water, and Epsom salts, and soak for about 20 minutes. You will feel so relaxed afterward.
Exercise
Take time to take care of your body by exercising even if it is 20 minutes a day. You can go to the gym, walk outside, or try an at-home workout.
Practice Breathwork
Breathwork is a powerful technique that can help reduce stress, promote relaxation, release emotions, and so much more. You can try out some of these breathing exercises.
Cook a nourishing meal
Spend some time in the kitchen trying out a new recipe with foods that are healthy and will nourish your body and make you feel good.
Take supplements

Sometimes you may not get all of your nutrients from foods so an extra vitamin or supplement can help out.
Soak in the tub
Light a candle, fill up the tub with warm water and Epsom salts with essential oils (or bubble bath), put on some relaxing music, and enjoy a warm soak in your tub.
Get some sunlight
Every day try to get at least 10 minutes of direct sunlight.
Nourish Your Soul
Explore somewhere new
Take some time and explore somewhere new. Whether it is a hiking trail, a new coffee shop, or a new part of your city/town. It’s important to switch things up and feed your soul with new adventures.
Connect with a friend or family member
Call or text a friend or family member and set up some time to spend time together or even jump on a video call for some connection.
Declutter an area in your home or office
Clean up and declutter your space. It is so good for your soul to let go of things you no longer use and having a clean area helps so much.
Set boundaries between work and home
There is a time for work and a time for personal life. Especially if you work from home make sure to set boundaries between the two.
Say no if you are not feeling it
If something doesn’t light up your soul or bring you joy, say no. Your peace and happiness if much more important than doing something that can make you miserable.
Learn a new hobby
Learn something that you always wanted to and try to make it something that doesn’t connect with work.
Listen to peaceful music
Listen to music that is peaceful and calming. Close your eyes and relax your soul. You can find tons of calming playlists on Spotify and YouTube.
Perform a random act of kindness
Giving is good for the soul. When you are kind it helps increase happiness, self-esteem, and compassion.
Slow down and breathe
The next time you are overwhelmed with the task you are doing, try this one-minute meditation. Take a step back and for one minute take deep breaths and then get back to your tasks. Your soul will feel lighter and more peaceful.
Set an intention
Taking time to set intentions means you are living a life of purpose. Living an intentional life comes with more gratitude, more presence, and more peace. Check out this post on how to set intentions.
Pull a tarot card
Tarot cards are used to gain insight into the past, present, or future and can help you (if you are into this stuff) tap into your highest self.
Try a guided meditation
Listen to a guided meditation to help you relax and let go.
Have some alone time
Spending time alone is so powerful to help reenergize yourself.
Connect with nature
Stand outside and listen to the birds chirping and the different sounds of nature. Or even practice grounding yourself to better connect with nature.
Practice morning rituals
Having a morning routine filled with rituals will help you connect with yourself and set your tone for the day. You can journal, meditate, sip on coffee quietly, read, practice affirmations, or whatever makes your soul feel good.
Practice gratitude
Start a gratitude journal and write out everything you are grateful for and why you are grateful. There is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.
Final Thoughts
Please don’t try to do all these things at once because you will just become overwhelmed.
But, use this as a guide to help nourish your mind, body, or soul with what it needs the most.
Take what resonates with you in your season of life.
