At the end of every year, I like to take time to reflect on everything that has happened good and bad within the last 12 months.
Things change constantly and sometimes we are so caught up with the stress and overwhelm of life that we don’t take time to be in the present moment or even to reflect on what actually happened.
In a previous blog post, I shared Why You Should Make Time for Self-Reflection.
Here are some benefits of self-reflection followed by journal prompts for self-reflection.
The Benefits of Self-Reflection
Self-reflection can help you:
- Slow down & live in the present
- Not dwell on your mistakes but learn from them
- Make sure your everyday activities align with your values
- Help you to focus on yourself & your self-care
- Encourage you to reflect on your goals and set new ones
- Celebrate every single accomplishment, big or small
- Help you to learn to live in the present moment
