If you are reading this, then you might be struggling with comparison or feeling unworthy of success in your life or business.
With social media at our fingertips, it’s easy to get so caught up in our own heads and question if we should be doing the things we want to do.
Confidence in life and in business is key to feeling fulfilled, happy and seeing success in all areas of life.
Thankfully, confidence is something that can be worked on if you have some tools at your disposal.
Here are some tips that can truly help you be more confident in life and in business!
Determine your key values
Nailing down your values will help you decide what you say yes to and what you say no to.
These are the things that you live by.
Think, what is important to you?
What is your reason behind doing the things you choose to do?
What are your non-negotiables?
Once you determine your key values, you will feel more confident in how you are living your life.
Create before you consume
Comparison is the thief of joy and the sucker of confidence.
The less time you spend comparing yourself to others, the more time you can spend on bettering yourself.
Create before you consume is something to live by in your life and business.
This means that before you scroll through Instagram, stalking others who seem like they have “made it”, take time to work on yourself and your own business.
That way, you will be creating from a place of passion for what you do, not from a place of self-doubt.
Work on your strengths and outsource your weaknesses
Our weaknesses usually contribute to feeling less confident than we should.
We all have weaknesses; there is no denying that.
Acknowledging our weaknesses is more important than ignoring them because then we can learn how to work with them.
Instead of working on your weaknesses, continue to build up your strengths (and confidence!).
Outsource your weaknesses to those who are more skilled in those areas, and that will leave you feeling confident and empowered.

Embrace who you are instead of trying to change who you are
We all have things that we may like to change about ourselves, but we are who we are.
We might as well embrace the complex, beautiful, and perfect person we are instead of trying to change!
If you learn to embrace who you are, flaws and mistakes and all, you will feel more confident in how you live your life.
Pour your energy into the tasks that give you life
Your time is a very precious, if not your most precious, commodity, so do not give it away to the things that do not fuel you.
Instead, pour your time and energy into the things that give you life.
Why do you wake up every day?
What makes you get out of bed?
Do more of that!
If you spend your time and energy on the things that you love doing, you will feel more confident doing those things.
Surround yourself with people who support and love you
Your community is everything.
How can you feel confident if the people around you constantly tear you down?
Surround yourself with people who lift you up, who believe in you, and who inspire you to be the best version of yourself.
If the people around you make you play the comparison game or make you feel less than, you need to make a shift.
Surrounding yourself with the right people will make your confidence come naturally.
Invest in yourself
Sometimes we don’t feel extremely confident simply because we lack the knowledge or understanding.
Investing in yourself, either your time or money or both is a simple way to gain more confidence.
Do you lack confidence on stage because you struggle with public speaking? Take a public speaking course!
Do you struggle with imposter syndrome and comparison? Work with a mindset coach!

Make personal development a priority
Personal development and growth is a process—not a one-time thing.
When you are constantly working on yourself, you are continuing to build your self-confidence and self-love.
You can read some personal development books, take a mindset course, work with a coach, journal, or so much more.
Find what personal development means to you and make that a priority in your life.
Celebrate all of your wins
Every time we experience a win, either in our lives or in business, we get a boost of confidence.
That confidence may be large or small, but it is still present.
Try to celebrate all of your wins—not just the massive speaking arrangements, but even when someone sends you an Instagram DM telling you the impact you or your business has made on them.
Celebrate that you got up early to work, or that you shared your thoughts in a meeting.
The more you celebrate your wins, the more prevalent your confidence boosts will be.
Focus on the present
Find confidence in the present and focus on that.
What can you do to increase your confidence today, in this moment?
Worrying and stressing about the future isn’t going to serve you at all, and it might discourage you from your own growth.
Take your journey one day at a time and enjoy the ride!
Take care of yourself
You should be your #1 priority.
That is not selfish and in fact, it is necessary that you put yourself at the top of your list.
Get adequate rest, exercise, eat healthy food that fuels you, spend time away from work, and do all the things you need to feel your best.
When you are feeling your best, confidence and feeling fulfilled will show up in your life.
Final Thoughts
You are worthy of feeling confident in both your life and your business.
Discover what is holding you back and incorporate these tips to live a happier, more confident life.
By shifting your perspective and where you focus your time and energy, you will be able to live life confidently, just as you deserve.

These are really great tips. Everyone always thinks it’s crazy when I say that you should be your first priority, but it helps so much. You can’t be confident in yourself when you’re always putting other before you.
