While being able to master your morning routine is one thing, taking control of your evening routine is a whole other ballgame. This is because it’s all too easy to let this time run away from us, whether we stay late at work to finish a project or allow ourselves to get distracted the moment we step through the door.
That being said, it’s worth working on curating an evening routine. This can help you to develop a healthier work/life balance, while also making time for the activities and people that you genuinely care about.

Clock out at the right time
Making sure that you clock out as soon as your shift is over is essential when it comes to gaining control over your evening routine. While a little bit of overtime here and there is permissible, it shouldn’t become commonplace.
Spend some time working out
Daily exercise will improve your life in more ways than one. For example, it can help you work towards your weight loss goals, while also improving your mental health and sleeping habits. As such, this is one of the very first things you should do upon leaving work for the day. After all, if you let yourself sit on your sofa for too long, you’ll lose all motivation.

Spend ten minutes cleaning
Keeping on top of your housework can be difficult. As such, you should spend at least ten minutes cleaning each evening, which will make the task feel much more manageable moving forward.

Prepare for the next day
Following this, you should make sure that you prepare for the next day. For example, you should shower and pick out your outfit ahead of time, so that you are not in a rush in the morning. You should then make sure you get as much sleep as possible.
