Waking up early in the morning has changed my life. Every day even on the weekends I wake up between 5:30 am and 6:00 am.
It’s amazing how waking up a few extra hours earlier in the morning can do for your morning routine, productivity, and your mindset.
I haven’t always been an early bird, I used to wake up around 9 am and not get much done wondering where my day went but not realizing I slept most of the day away.
I constantly would hit the snooze button and feel completely groggy and unmotivated.
Overtime when I learned about the benefits of waking up early and also learned that a lot of successful people are early risers I knew my mornings had to change.
Since I started waking up earlier I noticed that I am more productive, happier, and healthier.
When you are working for yourself and running your own online business every minute counts especially when you strongly believe in living a balanced life.
In this post, I am going to share some amazing benefits of waking up early in the morning.

The Benefits of Waking Up Early
1. You are more productive
You know this had to be number one on the list.
In the first few hours of the day, there are fewer distractions because most of the world is still asleep.
This makes it easier for you to get some uninterrupted work done. .
Plus, by waking up early in the morning you have more time to focus on the most important tasks first.
2. You feel less stressed out
When you start your days more positive and intentional, it helps you feel less overwhelmed, rushed, and have more control of your day.
3. You take care of yourself first
When you wake up earlier before your kids, significant others, or anyone else in your household it gives you time to create a morning routine that helps feed your mind, body, and soul.
When you spend your mornings pouring into yourself first, you are able to take better care of everyone else and perform better at work.
4. Healthier Lifestyle
If you get up earlier in the morning even if it is by 30 minutes then you have time to fit in a morning workout and I don’t know about you but after a workout, it feels good to eat a healthy breakfast to go along with it.
It is important to take the time to fuel your mind, body, and soul before your day starts for better health and energy.
5. You are more mindful
I don’t know if it is because it is so quiet and calm but when you wake up early in the morning you are more mindful.
Since it is quiet this is a great time to practice gratitude, meditate, journal, and really become aware of yourself and your surroundings.

6. You are happier
When you wake up earlier this helps with having good habits which leads to having a healthier and positive mindset.
Waking up earlier you are more likely to accomplish more, work on your personal development, and spend time doing the things you love so this boosts your happiness.
7. You Set Goals and Accomplish Them
People who wake up early in the morning are the ones who plan, set goals, and actually take action on them.
They wake up earlier because they are motivated and determined to make all their dreams come true.
Are you gonna really wake up earlier and have nothing to do, bored with your time?
Nope, you have a purpose so you will wake up earlier ready to crush your goals, and doesn’t it feel so good when you do!

8. Sleep better
When you make it a habit to wake up earlier it is natural that your body would want to go to bed earlier too.
Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day helps your natural sleeping cycle and you will feel more balanced.
Remember don’t break this habit on weekends! Try your best to go to bed and wake up at the same time every single day. It isn’t as bad as you think! Your health and body will thank you!
9. You have more energy
At first when you start waking up earlier you will feel like you have no energy as your body adjusts but overtime you will start to have very high energy levels.
This is from having a better sleep schedule, a great morning routine, working out, eating a healthy breakfast, and not snoozing = no drowsiness.
Having more energy levels will help you to be more focused throughout the day.
10. You build the habit of self-discipline
Building any habit isn’t easy, especially one where you wake up earlier and it’s cold and dark. You just want to lay in bed till the very last minute.
It takes ALOT of discipline to not snooze and get out of bed to start your day.
It takes time for your body to adjust and if you can fight through and build this habit then you also have built the habit of self-discipline, which you can use for other areas of your life like working out and eating healthy.
Final Thoughts
I am one to admit that waking up early isn’t easy but when you think about it the benefits outweigh sleeping in.
At first it will be difficult but it is important to stick to it and push through.
Wake up earlier and design your mornings for you, your goals, and your dreams.

This is true! Since becoming an entrepreneur, I have naturally been waking up at 5 a.m. every morning. I feel more motivated and awake during the day. I get more done because my family wakes up like 2 – 3 hours later, so I have fewer distractions. I don’t feel like I have to rush before the end of the day and can schedule more breaks. The things that help me get up earlier are music, dancing, taking a shower, and drinking coffee.
