As a female entrepreneur creating daily healthy habits are essential for your success.
Success starts with you.
Your business is a reflection of you.
You must take your health seriously by creating daily healthy habits and routines so that you can take care of yourself from the inside and out and which in turn will help you live your best life and build the business of your dreams.
12 Healthy Habits That Every Female Entrepreneur Should Practice
1. Eat Healthy Foods
Have you ever heard that saying, “you are what you eat”?
Proper nutrition is essential for maintaining a healthy immune system, preventing disease, and helping your brain and body function properly.
You can’t run a business or take care of others if you are sick.
Eating healthier foods will have amazing results for your energy and vitality.
I don’t know about you, but I do love splurging and having junk food, but after I eat it, I tend to get sluggish, lazy, and bloated.
When I eat healthy nutritious food I get more work done, I’m more focused, and my mood feels better.
Some tips to help you eat healthier and feed your body the proper nutrition are:
– Follow a well-balanced diet with veggies, fruits, protein, and whole grain
– Drink plenty of water
– Take vitamins
– Drink tea (so many benefits)
– Meal prep so you are not tempted to grab something unhealthy when you are busy
– Portion control your food
– Eat sugar in moderation
Eating and living a healthy lifestyle takes a lot of discipline and determination, but it is possible and so beneficial.

2. Workout & Keep Your Body Moving
Take care of your body.
Working out helps you to feel confident, get more done, and recharges you.
Make it a habit to work out and move your body every day.
Working out gets your blood pumping and release mood-boosting endorphins.
It is even better to do it first thing in the morning, so it ensures that your daily workout will actually happen.
When you are working at your desk, take 10-minute breaks every hour to stretch and move around or even do squats.
Staying in one position all day isn’t good for your posture and will make your body feel stiff and unhappy.
Just try to keep your body as active as possible.

3. Get 7-8 Hours of Sleep Every Night
Another great healthy habit to implement into your life as a female entrepreneur is getting the recommended amount of 7-8 hours of sleep every night.
Sometimes with being busy, stressed out, and overworked, our body just needs sleep more than anything to feel better.
When you get enough sleep, you wake up energized, refreshed, have a clearer focus, and it is easier to be more productive.
You’re going to need all these benefits if you are running a business and have a lot of tasks throughout the day.
Wouldn’t it be nice to wake up refreshed and recharged each morning instead of sluggish and tired?
Then make it a nightly habit to get some sleep!

4. Rest and Take Care of Yourself
By rest, I don’t mean sleeping but to unplug and re-energize.
Pour something back into your soul so that you can show up as your best self.
You must also have regular visits with a physician and a dentist to keep your health in check. You can check out this dentist in San Leandro to get started with your healthier teeth journey.
When you are stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious, you can’t show up as your best self for you, your business, your community, and your loved ones.
So, it is essential to take time for yourself every day to rest and practice daily self-care.
And don’t feel guilty about it!
Self-care is not selfish and always remember that.
5. Surround yourself with positive people
Surrounding yourself with positive people influences you to stay focused on your goals and feel happy.
Do you ever notice when you are around a negative person, your mood starts to shift?
You give in to the negativity by feeling depressed, angry, or even speaking negatively about other people or even yourself.
Stay away from these types of people.
It’s all about positive vibes.
You want to be around people who inspire you, support you, motivate you, and whom you can learn from.
Back home in the Virgin Islands, we have a saying, “Positive is How I Live”. ❤️💛💚
I love that saying and certainly live by it.
6. Read
Exercise and develop your mind each day by reading.
Make sure to read a minimum of 10 pages a day or 30 minutes a day.
Instead of scrolling through social media while you drink your morning coffee, use that time and read a book.
This habit is so important to incorporate into your life if you want to uplevel your business and personal life.
The more you read, the more you will feed your mind and learn.
7. Declutter Your Workspace
Decluttering your workspace will help you be free from visual distractions and become more organized.
Having clutter around you may actually stop your creativity.
A clear workspace can help you feel more confident in how you perceive yourself and encourage you to be more productive at work.
So, declutter your workspace Marie Kondo’s style and you would notice a big difference in your mood and tasks.
8. Get outside and get some sunlight
As a female entrepreneur, you may spend all day inside either behind the computer or making products (depending on what your business is) because you are building a business, and it takes up all your time and energy.
But, it is so essential to take time every single day to get outside, surround yourself with nature, and most importantly, get some sunlight.
See, I learned my lesson a while back because my doctor told me I lacked Vitamin D a lot, and she was like you work from home you need to get outside.
Check out this great source of symptoms from Vitamin D deficiency.
The sun is one of the best sources of Vitamin D.
In small amounts, the sun’s UV rays help your body make nutrients that are essential for your bones, immune system, and blood cells.
Remember to still take precautions because too much sun can be harmful.
All you need is 10 minutes a day, get some direct sunlight, take a deep breath, and enjoy nature while taking care of your body.
9. Create a Morning and Evening Routine
Having a morning and evening routine is crucial for a female entrepreneur.
Your morning routine sets the stage for the whole day.
Successful entrepreneurs understand the importance of having a healthy morning routine so they can get their mind, body, and soul right before they conquer their business tasks for the day.
Starting your day off on the right foot can help with your productivity and creativity.

Your evening routine helps you unwind and transition between your business life and your personal life.
Being an entrepreneur, your brain never really turns off from work since you always have so much to do.
But, it is so important to have an evening routine that focuses on essential things such as your family and health.
You want to take the time to relax, spend time with your family, turn off your phone, read, and get some great sleep.
I know running a business is important but, so is your personal life, your health, and the people in it.
Don’t take those things for granted.

10. Practice gratitude and affirmations
Gratitude provides happiness and appreciation for what you have in life rather than what you don’t have in life.
If you focus on what you don’t have in life you become depressed and bitter.
Entrepreneurship is not a smooth ride, it is filled with challenges, failures, risks, highs, and lows.
Gratitude is so very important in entrepreneurship because without it you would spend your time comparing yourself to others, less determined, having low confidence, and energy.
There is always something to be grateful for in your life no matter what.
You can start a gratitude journal every day to help you with this practice.
My favorite is the 5 Minute Journal, which I use every morning and evening.
Along with gratitude, it is important to practice affirmations.
An affirmation is an assertion that something exists or is true.
Affirmations are positive and powerful statements that can help you to overcome negative thoughts, self-sabotage, fear, anxiety, and worry.
You must set the intention, repeat the affirmation often, and firmly believe in it, and then you will notice how it changes your pattern of thinking and changes your life.
In order to have a successful business, you must work on your mindset every single day.
Entrepreneurship is 80% Mindset and 20% Business Strategy.
11. Take time to Meditate Every Day
Meditation helps you to increase awareness of yourself, train your mind to focus and concentrate, help you sleep, reduce anxiety, and make you happier.
Meditation empowers you to take care of your mind.
Your head is probably filled with so many ideas and tasks that sometimes you can’t even think straight.
Well, meditation is the perfect solution to quiet your mind.
There are many different forms of meditation you just have to see what works for you.
Make sure to set time aside in your schedule to meditate.
Even if you just do 10 minutes a day it is better than nothing.
You will see such a difference in your mindset and mood.
Insight Timer is my favorite app for meditations.
12. Listen to Podcasts
As a female entrepreneur, you should always be feeding your mind.
Sometimes they may not even watch TV unless it is during their downtime.
Use your time wisely and listen to podcasts in the car, while working out, and even while even working.
As a female entrepreneur, you should always be looking for ways to grow as a person or in business. Podcasts are a great tool for that.
Plus, you never know you may end up as a guest star on a podcast one day or it may even inspire you to create your own.
Final Thoughts
I hope you found this post helpful and you implement some or all of these healthy habits into your life.
Remember, building a habit takes time, determination, discipline, and patience.
But, it is so worth it to live a healthy life and build your dream business.

What a great list of things. You know – I was always very active when I was working outside the home. But the whole blog approach – you have to be very deliberate about keeping active physically. Its too easy to just sit and type away. These are good reminders. Thanks.
