Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 4-5 Honeycrisp Apples (or granny smith)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of nutmeg

Crisp Topping

  • 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil room temperature

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Lightly grease a baking dish/pan with some coconut oil.
  • Peel, core, and slice apples. Toss them in a bowl and add some lemon juice to prevent your apples from browning.

  • In another bowl, add oats, almond flour, coconut sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix together.
  • Then add coconut oil to the oat mixture. Use a fork to mash coconut oil in with the mixture until it has a crumbly consistency.
  • Evenly sprinkle crisp topping over the apple filling.
  • Bake in the oven for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  • Let cool and enjoy!
